Background.
One Piece is a world of pirates and adventure. Years ago a famous pirate was caught by the Marines. On his death bed he announced that he had left all of his treasure in one piece, but it was up for the next generation to find it. Since then pirates around the world have entered the Grand Line in search of his treasure. In this world there are many different races and types of characters. There are few differences between this One Piece world and the canon. Really, it's just that the canon characters aren't there (Unless you are in the canon board). If you want to double check what does and does not exist, ask a member of staff or moderator.The Races
All One Piece races are fair game. Any race that seems like it could be a One Piece race is fair game. If you are using a canon race, try to make your character like that race from the series. For example, Mermen tend to be really strong and sturdy.The Limitations
There can only be four yonkou characters. If one has been inactive, contact staff or moderators and they will archive the character.The same goes for the seven shichibukai.
A character can have at most one devil fruit.
Devil fruit users should have a difficult time in flowing water.
All characters should have at least one weakness, even if they should, for example, turn completely into an element.
You cannot be the leader of the Marines or the pirate that left behind One Piece.
Yonkou cannot have the Yomi Yomi no Mi.The same goes for the Shichibukai.
If a character is death enabled, they cannot be brought back from a fatal attack. Non-death enabled characters can be brought back by saying that they were hospitalized for a time.
If you do time skips, other members do not need to respect that.
