«Zelda Information»
Background.
The land of Hyrule was created by three goddesses: Nayru, Farore and Din. They crafted the earth with their power and then brought life and law into the world. When they were done with their work, they forced their remaining power into an artifact known as the Triforce. They then left this world. The Triforce is believed to have the power to grant any wish that a person desires. Over the years, citizens of Hyrule have fought for it for that very reason.Throughout the centuries a hero and villain have always risen up. The villain would take the Triforce. The hero would defeat the villain. This has gone on for centuries. But now there is no hero. There is no villain. There is only you.

The World
Our Zelda world is not complete non-canon. Link and his adventures did happen, but that was years ago. Our adventures take place almost 100 years after the events of Ocarina of Time and Majora's mask. It is an alternate timeline in which a dark force has approached the Sacred Realm. It tried to take the Triforce for its evil deeds. While a hero did not appear, and this evil did not resemble the villains of the past, there was one person that tried to stop it. A curious boy followed the evil into the Sacred Realm and before it could have its way with the Golden Triangle, the boy made his own wish. 'Don't let it destroy Hyrule,' was the boy's desire. The Triforce granted it. Like it always has, it granted the wish in the most unexpected of ways -- It shattered itself. Not into three parts like in the past. The three that would normally receive the triforce did not exist in this timeline. Instead, the three pieces of the Triforce separated, and then each shattered into many pieces. Those pieces were then sent throughout Hyrule. To Hyrule Castle. To Zora's Domain. To Death Mountain. As far as Termina. Then even as far as the world of shadows. Some would lay in the dirt, others in chests in old dungeons and more found their place in the hands of Hyrule's citizens.
While a shard could not grant a complete wish, they could grant small desires to those that held onto them. They could also enable magic in those that normally could not use magic. The shards were a boon to some and a nightmare to others.
After those events, people, good and bad, have begun to search for the shards. Hoping to increase their power, or to stop others from getting stronger.
Our Zelda world is a fusion of OoT, Majora's Mask, and Breath of the Wild. The world resembles the world of the combined OoT and Majora's Mask. You have Kokiri Forest, Castle Town, Lon Lon Ranch and Lake Hylia, and then if you head through a deep forest on the outskirts of Hyrule you will find yourself in Termina.
The similarities to Breath of the Wild would be the shrines. Like in BotW, there are shrines throughout the lands that have been left by the ancients. Some of these shrines leave behind treasures while others are only there to test future heroes. Some of these shrines take the form of temples that reward items.
There is a Twilight/Dark World, and it resembles Hyrule but with shadow beasts.
The Races
Members are free to create characters of any Zelda race. Because this is based more on OoT and Majora's Mask, Zora, Goron, Deku and Kokiri are obvious choices. Then because there is a Twilight/Dark World, Twili are also fair game. If you choose to make a Gerudo, keep in mind that male Gerudo are EXTREMELY rare. In this world, races like Korok and Rito are not native to Hyrule. They travel from other regions. It also could be fair to say that they live in a region near Termina.
You can play as a monster, but do not get mad if people hunt your character.
If you are unsure if your character's race will work, just ask.
The Triforce Shards
Any and all characters can have at least one Triforce shard on them. A character can only start with one Triforce shard. The Triforce shards can have strange effects on their anatomy, enable them to use spells or allow them to do things they normally could not do. Remember that the Triforce has three parts, and the shard's effects should make sense for the part of the triforce that it comes from.
Power - Should involve power or strength. Can also involve the elements Earth or Fire.
Courage - Should involve exploration or bravery. Can also involve the elements Wind and Spirit.
Wisdom - Should involve appearances and knowledge. Can also involve the elements Water and Ice.
Assume there are at least 100 shards. A character cannot feasibly find them all.
The Limitations
There can be multiple prince and princesses of Hyrule. The Triforce is split into numerous shards.
The Master Sword is housed in the Temple of Time.
To access the Master Sword, you would need to collect the sacred stones. There will be events to acquire them.
There can only be one male Gerudo active at any time.
This is not a completely canon zelda rp. You cannot play as Zelda characters unless you are in the canon board.
The Fierce Deities and Majora's masks cannot be found. But they might be offered in site events.
A magical force will teleport fatally wounded characters to safety. Praise Hylia.
