This is the world of the living. Humanity lives out their lives without knowing about the forces that appear in the afterlife. This is where Humans, Quincy and Vizard live.

This is the afterlife. Every soul that passes on from the human world will come to live here. The type of life these individuals will live is determined by where in Soul Society they appear. The closer to Seireitei, and the better their lives.

A dreary world set in another dimension. When souls are flooded with negative emotions, or cannot suffer their existence any longer, they appear in Hueco Mundo as Hollow. Hollow eventually turn into Menos and then eventually evolve into the powerful Arrancar.

The world of Twilight. Years ago the goddesses sealed these lands away from the light. Over time the Twili and shadow beasts were born.

Residing in the Fire Country is Konohagakure no Sato. The denizens of this populous and seemingly closely knit Hidden Village uphold the Will of Fire, a self-imposed doctrine embodying courage, love, and strong will.

Lead by the Kazekage and based in the Wind Country, Sungakure no Sato is a hidden village concealed deep within the desert. A variety of specialized techniques originated here, such as famously employing puppets as weapons.

In the Water Country, the village hidden by mist is not known for its hospitality and chivalry, but rather, its ruthlessness and finesse. Only recently have they abandoned the practice of forcing their academy students to fight to the death to determine the lone strongest graduate, and their doctrines and methods still remain harsh and efficient. It is additionally known for its legendary Seven Ninja Swordsman of the Mist.

Within Earth Country is the village hidden by rocks, lead by the Tsuchikage. As though inheriting the qualities of the stalwart environment around them, denizens of this village are known for their strong wills and character.

Within Lightning Country is Kumogakure, a village in the mountains that is predominantly concealed by clouds. Practitioners of storm and lightning techniques are abundant here, and their strong familial bonds rival even that of Konoha.

The snow-covered neutral Land of Iron, known for being manned by chakra-blade touting samurai and an incredibly strong military. Its militaristic might has dissuaded the villages from meddling with it, and respects its neutrality. Sometimes, Kage Summits are held in this secure land where it serves almost as a mediator for the event.

Four seas that divide the world. Each sea has different personalities, geographies and dangers. Yet, if you are a real pirate you will leave these waters behind in search of the Grand Line.

An ocean current that cuts through the center of the world. Those looking for the fabled treasure, One Piece, come to the Grand Line and compete with the world's greatest pirates.

This is the world outside of Sword Art Online. Most of the younger survivors of the Sword Art Online incident attend a special school that has been opened just for them.
